Congrats to Delmarva Broadcasting,
one of the most progressive radio owners in America. Their loyalty driven radio
stations in Wilmington, DE posted #1 and #3 respectively for Fall 05 with TSL
gains on both stations. WSTW/Chr blew the doors off everyone to #1 status in the
market at 8.2. WXCY/Ctry went to #3 and shut down Beasley and Clear Channel's
country franchises. Moreover, WXCY gained a full share in neighboring Baltimore
against legendary WPOC/Ctry. And sure enough, a quick look at the loyalty database
by zip code in Baltimore illustrates the point.
Quantifying the listening
and remote habits of listeners does NOT happen by accident. Rather a system
that rewards listeners for interaction is the best way to fend off all media.
